EyeAdvisor ("EyeAdvisor," "we," "us") provides software that helps eye-care practices capture, store, and review patient consultations. This Privacy Policy explains what information the EyeAdvisor mobile app collects, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

EyeAdvisor is a professional tool used by licensed eye-care practices and their staff. We provide the EyeAdvisor service to those practices, which are responsible for the patient information they choose to record and manage through it.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in, we collect your email address and account credentials so we can authenticate you and secure your account.

Consultation recordings and related data. When you transfer a recording from a paired Plaud device and sync it, we collect the audio recording and the information you associate with it, such as the patient you assign and related consultation details. This may include protected health information (PHI).

Identifiers. We collect account and record identifiers (such as your user ID and your practice/office ID) needed to associate recordings with the correct account and patient.

Diagnostic information. To keep the app reliable and secure, we may collect diagnostic logs (such as error and performance information and app version). These logs are associated with your account and are used only to operate and improve the service.

Device connectivity. The app connects to your Plaud recorder over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to transfer recordings. The app may request Location permission, which iOS requires to enable Wi-Fi connectivity; this is used on your device to establish the transfer and is not collected or stored by us.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the EyeAdvisor service, including transferring, securely storing, and making your consultations available;

• Generate consultation summaries and practice insights within your EyeAdvisor account;

• Authenticate users and protect accounts;

• Operate, troubleshoot, and improve the app; and

• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How Information Is Shared

We share information only as needed to provide the service or as required by law:

• Service providers (sub-processors). We use trusted vendors to host and operate the service, including cloud infrastructure and database providers, and the Plaud SDK used to communicate with Plaud devices. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
