EyeAdvisor, LLC ("EyeAdvisor," "we," "us") provides an AI-enhanced counseling platform that helps eye-care practices record, transcribe and review patient consultations, and coach their counselors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website (eyeadvisor.ai), our web app (app.eyeadvisor.ai), our iOS app and the pre-visit education sessions practices offer their patients, how we use it, and the choices you have.
EyeAdvisor is a professional tool for licensed eye-care practices and their staff. Each practice owns its data, including any patient information it records in EyeAdvisor, and decides how that information is used.
Website visitors. If you contact us, book a call or request information, we collect what you give us, such as your name, email, phone number, practice name and message. Our website uses cookies, including Google Analytics, to understand how it is used, and an embedded scheduling tool when you book a call.
Account information. For practice staff who use EyeAdvisor: name, work email, role, practice and sign-in details, including two-factor authentication settings.
Consultation recordings and related data. When a practice records a consultation in the web app, or transfers one from a paired recording device through the iOS app, we collect the audio, its transcript and the information linked to it, such as the patient, procedure and notes. This includes protected health information (PHI).
Practice and usage data. Information the practice enters about its patients, offices and staff, and information about how the service is used, such as feature use, errors, performance and app version, so we can run, secure and improve it.
Patients in pre-visit education. When a practice offers a patient a pre-visit education session, in the clinic or through a link the practice shares, we collect on the practice's behalf the patient's first name, any contact details they choose to give, and their spoken conversation with our AI guide, plus a one-way hashed network address used only to prevent abuse. This is PHI and is handled under the practice's Business Associate Agreement.
Device connectivity (iOS). The iOS app connects to a paired recorder over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to transfer recordings. iOS may ask for Location permission to enable that Wi-Fi connection; it is used only on your device and is not collected by us.
We may also create aggregated or de-identified information (information that no longer identifies a person, de-identified as HIPAA requires) and use it for analytics, benchmarking and improving our products.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use patient information for advertising.
